This is the short one. Mindestro sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The marketing site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics without cookies, local storage, fingerprinting, or advertising identifiers. The app does not load that analytics script.

What your browser stores instead

Mindestro is an app that runs in your browser, so it uses the browser's own storage for its own working data. All of it exists to run the app for you, none of it to watch you:

• Your notes database, kept on your device.
• Your preferences, such as language, theme, and which view you left open.
• Your sign-in session, if you created an account, so you stay signed in between visits.

Clearing it

Clearing site data in your browser removes all of the above, including your local notes, so export your vault first. Inside the app, Settings offers export and a clear-all that does the same with more warning.

If this ever changes

If Mindestro ever needs an actual cookie, this page will name it, what it does, and how long it lives, before it ships.
